The KOS Water Treatment Facility, located on a 65-acre site within the expansion zone of the Konya Organized Industrial Area, is designed to serve the region’s emerging development zones.
Conceived as a protective shell for a sophisticated large-scale mechanical system, the project adopts a clear and robust architectural language defined by familiar metallic geometries.
The overall massing is envisioned as a large singular box containing smaller program-specific volumes, creating a functional hierarchy that makes the interior organization highly legible.
The roof is divided into three equal, subtly sloped sections that allow natural light to penetrate deep into the interior, enhancing the building’s energy efficiency.
At the heart of the structure lies a transparent administrative block, offering uninterrupted visual control over the operational hall and establishing a strong spatial dialogue between administrative and technical functions. Within the interior, this transparent core acts as a visual anchor, guiding movement and enhancing operational oversight.
